Dennis Encarnation

Dennis recently joined Lexington Wealth Management as a Senior Wealth Advisor and member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Lexington, Dennis was a partner and the chief investment officer at Freed Investment Group (FIG), which merged with Lexington in December 2021.

Dennis has spent his professional career trying to understand how the global economy works, and how people can thrive in that inter-connected world. Back in 1982, he joined the faculty of the Harvard Business School and later moved to the Harvard Kennedy School. For nearly three decades, Dennis taught graduate and executive education courses on different aspects of globalization, including world capital markets. On these topics, he has written four books and related articles.

Dennis also founded a management consultancy with global operations that extended to six continents. His clients over 40 years of operation included businesses, governments, nonprofits, and multilateral organizations managing the opportunities and risks of globalization. That work put him in touch with generations of leaders across different sectors and countries, and it motivated him to live as well as work abroad. Dennis continues to serve on the board of the Parikrma Foundation, which operates K-12 schools in the slums of Bangalore, India.

Dennis lives with his wife, Kathryn, in Back Bay, Boston. They have two grown sons. Dennis is a world traveler, Pilates devotee, and avid biker. When not in Boston, he is on Great Cranberry Island, Maine, where he and his wife tend their organic garden and orchard, enjoy boating and hiking around Acadia, and play tennis on the island’s one court.
