Chester “Chet” Marcus is a Senior Wealth Consultant at Lexington Wealth Management. Chet was the founder of Marcus Financial Advisors and began his financial management career in 1982 with Merrill Lynch in Boston before opening his Beverly office in 1985. He later transitioned the practice to his son, Jon, who led the organization until both joined Lexington Wealth Management.
Chet is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and holds licenses in general securities, allowing him to provide investment advice in 14 states. Chet is also a frequent guest speaker, locally and nationally, on financial services.
Chet feels it’s important to give back to the community and contributes his time and talent to many organizations and causes. An enthusiastic Rotarian who lives their mission of “service above self,” he has received two Paul Harris Awards and led a Rotary group study exchange to Italy in 2005. He is a member and past president of the Beverly Rotary Club.
In addition, Chet is secretary of the board at Bass Rocks Golf Club in Gloucester and active in various volunteer groups in Quechee, Vermont. He Helped establish the endowment fund at Temple Ahavat Achim in Gloucester and served as trustee at the North Shore Music Theatre from 1992–2001.
He is a past chairman of the North Shore United Way. He also has previously served as president of the Beverly chapter of Toastmasters International, which he helped found.
